Mercado do Bolhão has always been in the memory of the owner of Casta D'ouro, Mónica Pinto. The stall belonged to her grandmother Gracinda. When she turned 10, her mother went to work at her grandmother's stall as an assistant, and, later on, when her grandmother retired, the stall was put in the hands of her mother. Thus, part of her childhood and her entire adolescence was spent in the emblematic Bolhão. In those days, Mónica would help her mother weigh and pack the products, "assemble" and "disassemble" the stall, etc. The granddaughter of the founder of Casta D'ouro has very fond memories of Mercado do Bolhão, and is therefore carrying on with the family business.
