It is currently a family business led by three women: Ermelinda, her daughter Sara, and her niece Susana. However, the story of this stall begins much earlier, when Ermelinda was only 12 years old and came to Mercado do Bolhão for the first time to work for a lady who lived next door to her parents in their village. With her way of attracting customers, what was once an obligation, became a source of pleasure, and awakened in her the passion for serving customers and for selling fruit. Time passed until, in 1990, Ermelinda took over the fruit stall where she had always worked. Her employees have always been her own family members: first, her sister; then she was joined by her niece, Susana, and, about 10 years ago, her daughter Sara also joined the team, and still remains in business until today.
