Peixaria Bininha

Stall: 172

Albina Ferreira — better known by her nickname "Bininha" — has had her life intertwined with Bolhão since she can remember her existence. Her godmother, Alvira Augusta, already had a fish stall in the market when Bininha was born, in 1951. Her aunt, Laura da Silva, was her godmother's partner in the business, and, when the latter passed away, she was left to run the fish shop on her own. It was at that time that Bininha's mother entered the history of Bolhão as an employee at her aunt Laura's stall. Thus, Bininha's first memories in the market began to be built, which go back to her childhood, adolescence and adult life, always helping her mother and aunt.

After the illness of her aunt Laura, Bininha inherited the fish shop where she remains until the present. About Bolhão, this fishmonger tells us, in her own words, that "it was the background of my life's most remarkable moments" and also the place where she lived her greatest joys.
